Applicants for lead rider positions should possess:
1. The ability to ride horses of various levels of difficulty under trail conditions for three hours each day.
2. A reasonable sense of direction so as to be at ease and roughly aware of one’s location on an extensive network of marked but somewhat remote bridle paths.
3. The ability to safely escort groups of 5 to 7 riders of similar ability (from beginner to advanced) on trail rides from 2 to 5 miles in length.
4. American Red Cross Responding to Emergencies credentials or better, or be willing and able to pass a Road’s End Farm sponsored Red Cross first aid course just prior to the camp season.
