Applicants for riding instructor positions should possess:
1. A desire to work with horses and young people in a relaxed setting where each person’s achievement is encouraged and not dictated.
2. The ability to teach beginner and intermediate riders the fundamentals of English riding in a patient and interesting fashion for a total of three hours each day.
3. The ability to mount up and demonstrate various riding skills to the campers, if necessary.
4. A sound working knowledge of safety on and around horses, conformation, proper grooming and tacking practices, bridle and saddle parts, and the correct care of horses and tack.
